All hands needed on deck TODAY to push back the Assembly Republicans' proposals for spending caps!
Calls are needed today to all democrats in the legislature urging them to reject spending caps and other budget constraints, and support the revenues needed to prevent deep cuts!
On Friday afternoon, the Assembly is holding a hearing on a devastating spending cap proposal, ACA 19 (Villines). What's more, on Sunday, the Assembly is holding a special floor session on the budget, and the Senate is on call to come back in session, too.

I am calling to say that California needs real, long-term solutions to our state's budget crisis. I urge you to:
- Oppose any budgeting constraints like so-called "spending caps" that would force perpetual cuts to [cite your top priorities] education, health care, home care, law enforcement, parks, disaster response, and other vital services in our community.
- Support permanent revenues to prevent deep cuts to our students, seniors, people with disabilities, children and communities. No more cuts are acceptable!"
