Description: Research continues to mount to support the power of early introduction of commonly allergenic foods, including peanut, to prevent food allergy. Yet, new parent surveys show that most are not introducing early, and low-income households are both less likely to introduce and less likely to talk about it with their providers. In this session, we’ll discuss the latest research and recommendations on food allergy prevention and management, highlight available resources, and share case studies from WIC staff who are empowering participants to live free from the burdens that come with a food allergy.
