Federal Legislation, Regulations & Policy

It is critical that members of Congress have a working knowledge of how WIC works, so they can consider WIC’s role in the lives of their constituents when making important decisions about WIC funding and other healthcare and nutrition policy issues. To that end, we engage in WIC education and advocacy at the federal level in Washington DC on an annual basis, and strongly encourage our members to invite their representatives to visit a local WIC site!

National Advocacy

Although CWA is an independent nonprofit organization, we work closely with the National WIC Association to advocate for adequate WIC funding and program revisions based on scientific evidence in nutrition and public health.
