The WIC Director is responsible for the direction, administration, and supervision of the federal Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program in San Luis Obispo County. This role involves leading a team of 15 staff members across seven clinics, serving between 4,000 – 5,000 participants monthly. The WIC Director ensures the smooth and consistent operation of the program in accordance with federal guidelines, complies with all program and fiscal compliance, and provides quality nutrition education and breastfeeding support services to WIC families.
