WIC and Child Care programs share the common goal of enhancing the health and social outcomes of the nation’s youngest and most vulnerable children. Although both programs have proven effective in their separate capacities, their impact could be amplified through closer coordination and collaboration. By working together, WIC and Child Care programs can more efficiently use limited public resources and better support children’s development.
Beyond Outreach to Strengthen Collaborations
This paper explores the potential for local and regional partnerships between WIC and childcare providers, highlights successful pilot projects, and provides recommendations for further improvements to ensure a brighter future for our children.
