WIC Worksite Wellness
The Value of WIC Worksite Wellness
In April 2009, the California WIC Association (CWA) launched the WIC Worksite Wellness program to support the well-being of California WIC’s 3,000-3,500 employees. The program integrates a practical approach to health and nutrition, incorporating nutrition and health messages that staff share daily with WIC families.
The WIC Worksite Wellness program helps local WIC agencies achieve and maintain Well WIC Worksite certification by providing support and guidance, empowering them to create healthy worksites to promote staff engagement in healthy behaviors and activities year-round.
September 2024 Movement/Walking Challenge
CWA is hosting another virtual Wellness Challenge from September 1st – September 30, 2024 on the Pacer app! All Local WIC Agencies in California are invited to participate, with the purpose of fostering engagement and enhancing employee wellness. This year’s Walking Challenge offers two tiers: 10k or 6k steps, plus an individual movement challenge. We are encouraging healthy activity with fun teambuilding and prizes!
See our flyer here for more information on the challenge and the prizes! To sign up, follow the Pacer App guide here. Please note, participation in the September 2024 Wellness Challenge is limited to WIC employees only.
